Custom-made rugs, specially for you

At Tapiroma, every rug, without exception, is custom-made at the moment your order is received. No rugs are kept in stock: as soon as you confirm your order, our artisans begin making your rug, in the exact size you have chosen.

Each rug is entirely handmade by artisans, women and men, Berbers, custodians of a craft passed down from generation to generation. This manual work requires patience, precision, and mastery of traditional weaving that only expert hands can provide. By choosing Tapiroma, you directly support these artisans and contribute to the preservation of their art.

Making a rug requires continuous and meticulous work of 15 to 21 days. This timeframe is not just a waiting period: it is the real and necessary time to weave, knot, and finish each rug by hand, thread by thread, with the care that a unique handcrafted piece deserves.

How to choose the size of your rug

Since each rug is custom-made, you must select the desired size directly when placing your order.

To do this:

• measure the space where you want to place your rug (living room, lounge, hallway, bedroom, entrance...);
• take the available length and width, considering surrounding furniture;
• choose the dimension that best fits your space, in centimeters or inches (inch);
• indicate this size when confirming your order.

Your rug will then be made exactly to this dimension, specially for you.

How to read sizes and select yours

The dimensions of our rugs are expressed in centimeters (cm), with their equivalent in inches (inch) displayed as a reference next to them.

For example:

• 150 x 200 cm ≈ 59 x 79 inch
• 200 x 300 cm ≈ 79 x 118 inch

These examples are given only to help you navigate between the two units of measurement. They do not represent the complete list of available sizes.

When ordering, simply select the size that corresponds to the space you have measured (length x width), in cm or inch according to your preference. If the exact dimension you are looking for does not appear among the offered choices, you can request a fully customized size: your rug will then be made to measure, to your precise dimensions.

The price varies according to size

The price of each rug depends directly on its size. The larger and wider the rug, the greater the amount of raw material, work time, and precision required — and the price increases accordingly.

This price variation faithfully reflects the actual manual work provided by our artisans for each additional centimeter of weaving.
